Accountant

We are on the hunt for a qualified accountant to work within our New Zealand Finance team.  You’ll perform a range of tasks starting with looking after one of our entities. As a growing business you’ll be involved with everything to do with that entity, from payroll support to IFRS accounting. We’re not called Kami-leons for nothing! You’ll be working with a team full of agile, flexible and open-minded people who want to make a difference in the world (and enjoy the process too!).

Your day to day
  • Look after all financial transactions for a company – from payment to reconciling.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual closing in a timely fashion
  • Prepare budget and cash flow forecast
  • Prepare and publish financial statements in a timely fashion
  • Look after all taxes (sales tax (USA) / GST (NZ) etc).
  • Work with our 3rd party providers (like payroll, banks and accountants) to ensure we comply with the various jurisdictions we operate in.
  • Focus on system / process improvements – we can always do things better.
what you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • Experience working with financial documents to process, interpret, and analyze a variety of figures.
  • Strong communication skills, such as reading, listening, writing, and speaking,
  • Critical Thinking to analyze problems and produce creative and effective solutions.
  • Experience with accounting programs such as XERO or other common accounting packages.
  • The ability to read carefully and listen to instructions while also processing and communicating information received
  • A thorough understanding of accounting principles, rules, and guidelines, including up-to-date tax and payroll best practices
