With so many national holidays happening all the time, it can be hard to keep track of them all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As any parent will tell you, being somebody\u2019s mom is a full-time unpaid job with no holiday pay or sick leave available: Being a mother to several people is even more work! That\u2019s why Mother\u2019s Day (and Father\u2019s Day) is such a special day. It\u2019s an opportunity for your students to acknowledge the huge amount of work that their parent puts in for them! Practicing being grateful and thankful, even with something as simple as a greeting card is a great exercise for young people to make a habit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might have a few students who don\u2019t have a \u201cmom\u201d in the traditional sense. Not a problem! Although Mother\u2019s Day is typically viewed as a women\u2019s day, there are plenty of single dads, legal guardians, and same-sex parenting teams out there that still fill the role of being a mom to somebody! There\u2019s no reason why these parents and carers can\u2019t receive a Mother\u2019s Day card or Mother\u2019s Day gift just like everyone else. Be sure to communicate this to your students, to avoid making anybody feel excluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of what age your students are, there are plenty of artistic and linguistic, customizable activities that you can find in the Kami Library to make sure that all your students\u2019 moms receive a Happy Mother\u2019s Day greeting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of our top Mother\u2019s Day templates so you can help your students wish their carers a Happy Mother\u2019s Day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mother\u2019s Day Card Templates<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>They say you can\u2019t beat a classic, and what\u2019s more classic than a homemade \u201cHappy Mother\u2019s Day!\u201d card? Enjoy Kami\u2019s free printable Mother\u2019s Day cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For younger students, there are some great coloring-in card templates available in the Kami Library. Try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/wdTxx4JKBZhH-mother-s-day-color-by-numbers\">this one<\/a> for a simple color-by-numbers. If you want something more elaborate, try this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/4i3A4HnduQun-mother-s-day-coloring-card\">landscape card<\/a> template. It\u2019s got the potential to explode with amazing colors!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re looking for something with a little more color in it, try this gorgeous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/aedLV2yskZT4-mother-s-day-bouquet-card\">Mother\u2019s Day bouquet card.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, for a floral happy Mother\u2019s Day, We\u2019ve got a beautiful color-by-number card design of a bouquet of flowers. There are some fine lines on this one, so it\u2019s probably a job for steady hands and colored pencils. If you\u2019re working with something like watercolors, this template is probably for advanced colorers only!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mother\u2019s Day Digital Card Templates<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Mother\u2019s Day can now be paperless! We\u2019ve just produced some digital cards in a Mother\u2019s Day design that your students can edit directly on their devices. There\u2019s a cute template <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/z4Nt3YgeC9gt-mother-s-day-digital-card-world\">here <\/a>that contains a lovely message. OR, you can use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/iUc1MfRQxhFM-mother-s-day-digital-card-dinosaur\">this template<\/a>, which requires the student to insert a picture of their face into a dinosaur\u2019s body. What could be more classic Mother\u2019s Day than that?!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S. The trending Mother\u2019s Day color this year is \u201cBrink Pink\u201d, which is a warm, reddish shade of pink. Writing a Happy Mother\u2019s Day card is a great opportunity to practice those English writing skills. In today\u2019s world, it\u2019s becoming more and more common to see special day messages popping up on social media. Everything from Valentine\u2019s Day to St Patrick\u2019s Day blows up in social media posts, from Facebook posts to people\u2019s Instagram stories. Our writing templates are available in a range of fonts and typographies to suit any age range!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For a creative writing exercise, we have a blank writing template titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/DZdaaS3EqBnr-mother-s-day-writing-template\">Happy Mother\u2019s Day!<\/a>\u201d that you can use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re after something a little more English-class specific, there\u2019s also a template <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/library\/resources\/JMHyM5GWLmFC-mother-s-day-simile-writing-worksheet\">filled with similes<\/a> that you can use. Encouraging your students to think of all the amazing qualities their moms have is a surefire way to make sure this is a great Mother\u2019s Day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get the creative juices flowing, have your students try and think up some funny Mother\u2019s Day quotes to put in their cards. If you provide a wig and some simple props, this can turn into a hilariously fun activity!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have your students design a Mother\u2019s Day brunch menu that they can (realistically) make for their mom. Get them to recruit the help of dad or older siblings if they can!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully, some of these templates and ideas will help you and your learners acknowledge the amazing work that moms do for us all year round.
