What is happening?
Kami has acquired Book Creator! With Kami Companion alongside, we now offer three trusted tools that work side by side, giving students more ways to express themselves, stay engaged, and show what they’ve learned. Welcome to a more complete classroom learning platform.
What changes today?
Nothing. You’ll keep using Kami and Book Creator the same way you always have. Same logins, same accounts, same workflow, zero disruptions.
Will my price or contract change?
There will be no changes to your current pricing or contract.
Are Kami and Book Creator still separate products?
Yes. Each product will continue to do what it does best, on its own or side by side. You can choose what works for your classroom. If you’re interested in either, chat to our team today.

What about compliance and privacy?
We’ve got you covered. Kami and Book Creator remain fully compliant with FERPA, COPPA, WCAG, SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, ST4S, and more. Privacy and compliance aren’t features, they’re foundations.
Will my Data Processing Agreement change?
Your current Data Processing Agreement remains valid although some Book Creator customers may be required to get new agreements, in which case please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Is there data sharing between products?
Not today. There’s no background data sharing across the tools. Any future integrations will be opt-in, transparent, and fully documented.
Will my school’s tech stack or LMS integrations be affected?
Not at all. Everything will continue to work with the platforms, devices, and systems you already use. No new logins or rip-and-replace are required.
Will our account manager or main point of contact change?
There are no immediate changes to account ownership. If anything changes, your current point of contact or our Customer team will reach out directly. For now, keep working with the person you know.
Will there be changes to how we’re billed or invoiced?
No changes are anticipated. You’ll continue to receive invoices from the same entity, with the same billing setup and payment process you’re used to. If anything does change in future, we’ll communicate well in advance.
How do we get training and PD?
All existing PD continues. In future, we’ll also offer joint training focused on expression, engagement, and evidence so you can get even more out of your tools.
How do I get support and who do I contact?
Keep using the same support channels you already know. Our teams are working together behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly.
