Kami

As someone who once disliked math himself, Cameron Bordages is passionate about making algebra engaging and accessible. Drawing from his own experience with challenging math classes, he’s committed to being the kind of teacher who helps students actually enjoy mathematics.

The Challenge

Traditional whiteboard teaching limited Cameron’s ability to make complex algebraic concepts clear and engaging. With basic black or blue markers, breaking down multi-step problems was difficult, and students struggled to follow the logical progression of solutions. Many students found it hard to connect different parts of equations or track how earlier steps led to final answers.

  • Students independently identifying and following problem-solving steps
  • Increased engagement through vibrant, clear presentations
  • Better accessibility for students with visual needs
  • Improved organization and documentation of class materials
  • More dynamic and interactive math lessons

In Cameron’s Words

“I had a student who had always struggled to see the board because of glares and issues with contrasting colors. I turned the background black and wrote in neon green for the first time, and she said, ‘I can see it!’ It was incredible. It felt so good to see her engagement skyrocket after that.” – Cameron Bordages, Algebra 2 Teacher
