NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF BEING AWARDED THE GRANT. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR INSTITUTIONAL POLICY. THE ODDS OF BEING SELECTED FOR THE GRANT DEPEND ENTIRELY ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The ISTELive 26 Professional Development Fellowship Grant (the “Promotion”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry and are actively employed as educators, teachers, librarians, technology coordinators, or administrators by an accredited K-12 public, private, or charter school, or local school district (“Eligible Educational Institution”). Employees, officers, and directors of Kami (the “Sponsor”), its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising or promotional agencies are not eligible to enter. Participation constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules.
2. PROMOTION PERIOD
The Promotion begins on Tuesday June 2, 2026 and ends 5pm (EDT) Tuesday June 16, 2026. Entries submitted outside of the designated Promotion Period are void. Online entries will be timestamped to ensure entries qualify.
3. HOW TO ENTER
Eligible individuals may enter the Kami ISTELive 26 Promotion during the Promotion Period by completing the online entry from and accompaning survey advertised via Kami’s official social media channels and email marketing programs.
No purchase of a conference registration pass, ticket, or asset is required to enter or win. Limit of one (1) entry per eligible individual. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification.
4. PRIZE STRUCTURE & COMPLIANCE SAFEGUARDS
Prize Framework: The prize is structured as an institutional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Grant awarded directly to the winning school district or school. Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $1685.00
Prize Components: There are 2 grant package avilable to be won. Each grant package consists of:
– One (1) full-conference registration (Early Bird “Single Pass”) to ISTELive 26 in Orlando, FL (ARV: $895.00).
– A corporate stipend of up to $300.00 to cover or contribute to travel expenses, distributed either via direct Sponsor corporate booking or direct district expense reimbursement.
– Three (3) nights standard hotel accommodation (single room, double occupancy) during ISTELive 26 at a Sponsor-designated hotel in Orlando, FL (ARV: $490.00).
Prize Conditions: The Grant must be utilized for the ISTELive 26 event (June 28 – July 1, 2026). If the final retail value of travel or accommodation is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash or alternative credit. The recipient’s institution is solely responsible for all meals, ground transport, incidental hotel charges, resort fees, taxes, and any costs exceeding the $300 travel stipend.
5. TAX REPORTING AVOIDANCE
The Promotion is structured strictly as an institutional asset transfer from the Sponsor (Kami) directly to the public school district, charter school board, or regional educational governing body associated with the winning entrant. Under no circumstances will the prize be awarded to, or become the personal property of, any individual entrant.
Consequently, participation in this Promotion does not generate personal income tax liabilities or individual reporting requirements for the participant. The Sponsor will comply with all applicable U.S. federal, state, and local tax reporting laws regarding corporate donations to educational entities. The Recipient Institution maintains sole responsibility for reviewing and addressing any internal accounting or tax implications resulting from the acceptance of this institutional grant.
6. DISTRICT POLICY & ETHICS VERIFICATION
By entering, entrants warrant and represent that their participation and the subsequent acceptance of an institutional grant by their employing school does not violate any state, local, or district ethical rules, conflict-of-interest guidelines, or employee handbooks. If a district policy or state regulation prevents the school from accepting the asset donation, the entry will be deemed ineligible, and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn from the remaining eligible pool.
7. SPONSOR RIGHTS AND ENTRY DISQUALIFICATIONS
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void and disqualify any entry that is incomplete, contains false information, uses incorrect contact details, or is otherwise illegible. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to ensure all contact and institutional information is accurate.
Any entry received after the exact closing time specified for the Promotion Period will be deemed automatically void, regardless of the reason for the delay – including, but not limited to, cell phone network failures, convention center Wi-Fi drops, technical glitches, badge-scanning delays, or human error.
If for any reason the promotion cannot be executed as planned – due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, force majeure, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, or fairness of the drawing – the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion and select a winner from all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to that point.
The Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets or travel vouchers. If the conference is cancelled, transitioned to virtual, or postponed by ISTE, the Sponsor’s sole obligation is to provide the virtual equivalent of the passes, and the travel stipend portion of the prize will be voided. Any expenses incurred by the winner or the institution prior to receiving official, written confirmation and booking authorization from the Sponsor are entirely at the winner’s own risk.
8. WINNER SELECTION, NOTIFICATION, AND HARD FORFEITURE DEADLINES
A random electronic drawing will be conducted on or about Monday June 22, 2026 after 5pm (EDT) from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period.
The individual entrant who submitted the winning entry will be notified via the professional school/district email address and/or phone number provided on the entry form within twenty-four (24) hours of the drawing. To comply with applicable state disclosure regulations, the name of the winning school board or district entity, along with the first name, last initial, and state of the submitting entrant, will be made available upon request. To obtain this information, individuals must email marketing@kamiapp.com within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the promotion period. Requests received after this 30-day window will not be honored.
The potential winning individual must respond to the notification within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial attempt. To claim the prize, the individual must provide written confirmation (via email) certifying that their governing school board or district entity will accept the hardware package. Failure of the individual to provide this written confirmation within the 48-hour deadline, or the subsequent refusal of the board/district to accept delivery, will result in immediate forfeiture of the prize. In the event of forfeiture, an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
If a potential winner cannot be reached, fails to respond within the 48-hour timeframe, fails to provide the required administrative approval, or is found to be ineligible, that winner and their school will be deemed to have completely forfeited the prize. In such cases, the Sponsor shall have no further obligation to that entrant or institution and will randomly select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible pool.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend entirely on the total number of eligible physical entries received during the Promotion Period.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Sponsor reserves the right to manage and dictate travel booking methods (direct booking vs. reimbursement). By participating, entrants and their employing educational institutions agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Sponsor, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the Prize Provider (Logitech) and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from any and all liability, loss, damage, or injury resulting from the acceptance, installation, operations, or misuse of the grant.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE SPONSOR’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO ANY ENTRANT OR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION EXCEED THE ACTUAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV) OF THE PRIZE AWARDED.
This Promotion, these Official Rules, and any disputes arising hereunder involving the Sponsor or Prize Provider shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action, class-action waiver, or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Boston, Massachusetts, and participants expressly consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
