What is Kami Certified Educator

Kami Certified Educator is a self-paced learning experience that helps you build stronger, faster workflows in Kami and feel more prepared when classrooms get busy again. You will learn strategies you can use right away, from feedback and grading habits to creating more interactive and accessible learning activities.

If you are using summer for planning, certification can also be a simple way to test-drive routines before students arrive. Think of it as a low-pressure space to explore features, practice with real examples, and build a setup you can reuse this fall.

What is new for 2026

We refreshed then Kami Certified Educator courses for 2026 and moved the experience into our new partnership with MobileMind so professional learning can be simpler to start, easier to track, and more rewarding to finish.

If you have ever started a PD course with good intentions and then lost momentum when school life took over, this updated experience is built to reduce that friction. You can complete a little at a time during quieter summer weeks, then return later during back-to-school prep days without feeling like you have to start from scratch.

What you can expect:

• Refreshed course content: Updated workflows and current best practices
• Practice built in: Many modules include an interactive Kami document so you can try the skills as you learn them
• On-demand pacing: Start, pause, and pick back up when you are ready
• Updated badges: Earn shareable credentials you can add to LinkedIn or your email signature

Kami Certified Educator Levels 1 and 2 are live in MobileMind

If you are looking for a clear path to start (or restart) before the new term begins, Levels 1 and 2 are live in MobileMind.

• Level 1 helps you build strong everyday workflows you can use immediately
• Level 2 goes deeper into interactive learning experiences and accessibility supports

Many teachers tell us back-to-school is when consistency matters most. Certification can help you tighten the “small things” that save time later, like how you give feedback, organize assignments, or support students who need multiple ways to access the same content.

Coming soon: expanded certifications across the Kami family

We are continuing to build out certification options so educators can grow with the full Kami family of products.

On the roadmap:

• Kami Companion Certified Educator: A new course focused on using Companion learning supports to help students access and engage with content across the web
• Book Creator Certified Educator (staying in-app): This certification will continue to live inside the Book Creator app for the time being. We will be refreshing the learning experience so it stays current and useful for the classroom.

For districts: Kami resources in the MobileMind Marketplace

If your district uses MobileMind as an internal professional learning hub, you can find dedicated Kami content in the MobileMind Marketplace. You can pull these resources directly into your district hub to support consistent learning across schools.

For back-to-school onboarding, that can mean fewer scattered links and more shared language across a team, whether you are supporting new staff, rolling out a new initiative, or building consistent expectations for digital learning routines.

Ready to get started

Courses can be completed on any iOS or Android device, but we recommend using a computer for the best experience.

1. Go to the MobileMind signup page.
2. Sign up using your school email address.
3. Enter the join code KAMI.
4. Check your inbox for an email with an activation link, then activate your account. You may be prompted to install a browser extension. It is not required for the Kami certification course.
5. Access the Kami Certified Educator path and start learning. Just Navigate to learning paths to get started.

If you are starting in summer, a helpful approach is to set a small goal you can finish in one sitting, then build from there. If you are starting during back-to-school, try bookmarking the next module so you can return quickly between planning and meetings.
