Kami and Schoology integration to streamline workflows and engagement

Once a school or district admin installs the Kami external tool integration, teachers can create Kami assignments directly in Schoology, build auto-grading assessments with Questions AI, and get real-time insights into class performance. Grades sync back to the Schoology grade book, and students’ files can auto-save to Google Drive or OneDrive. See Kami with Schoology.

Teachers add Book Creator from a course’s Materials menu and choose how students will use it: each student creates their own book, each student gets an editable copy of a template book, or the whole class collaborates on one book together. Only for Kami App. Kami assignments sync grades directly with the Schoology grade book. Book Creator doesn’t have a built-in grading feature, so teachers review student books and leave comments and feedback inside Book Creator, then record the grade in Schoology’s gradebook separately. Kami App requires a Kami paid plan, and a school or district admin needs to install the Kami external tool integration in Schoology. Book Creator requires a school or district subscription to Book Creator, and a Schoology administrator needs to add Book Creator to the platform first. Yes, for both. Kami App students open their assignment from the course Materials tab, complete it with the Kami toolbar, and turn it in with the Submit button (unless a teacher has turned on Assessment Mode). Book Creator students launch straight into their assigned book from Materials, and first-time Book Creator users outside a teacher-launched course material will need a library code from their teacher.
