The Kami Companion Understand tools: your go-to for helping students move from decoding words to understanding meaning. These Kami Understand tools let learners Explain, Summarize, or Adjust reading level for selected text, and even use the same supports on images.
Use them when students can read the words but still need support making sense of what they’re reading, or when a text is too complex and needs an easier or more challenging reading level.
In this video, you’ll learn how to:
💚 Select a passage of text you don’t understand yet
💚 Use Explain to generate a clearer explanation of the text
💚 Use Summarize to create a shorter version of a passage
💚 Use Adjust to change the reading level, easier or more challenging
