Kami App’s understand tools: your go-to for helping multilingual learners access any lesson, in any language.
Once a document is uploaded to Kami, students can use the picture dictionary, translate a word or full passage into over 100 languages, and hear text read aloud.
Use it whenever a new student joins your class, or whenever a lesson is well underway and a learner needs support in their home language without slowing down tier 1 instruction.
In this video, you’ll learn how to:
💜 Open the understand tools on any uploaded document
💜 Use the picture dictionary to show word meanings visually
💜 Translate a word or passage into over 100 languages
💜 Read translated text aloud and view it side by side
💜 Use the explain tool to break down a passage in a student’s language
This lesson supports multilingual learners and students new to the English language.
