How to use Kami Companion Reading assist

The Kami Companion Reading Assistant: your go-to for supporting students with tracking tools that make online reading easier to follow. It helps learners stay focused on the line they’re reading using the Reading ruler and Screen masking, without getting overwhelmed by a full page of text.

In this video, you’ll learn how to:
💚 Find the Reading ruler and Screen masking under the Ruler icon
💚 Turn on the Reading ruler to track the current line of text
💚 Customize ruler opacity, color, height, and width in Settings
💚 Enable Follow cursor so the ruler moves as you read
💚 Turn on Show move button to support keyboard navigation
💚 Use Screen masking to darken everything except the reading area
💚 Adjust Screen masking color, opacity, and height for comfort
